“I understand that events over recent years have created deepening uncertainty in the local rural community about the future and an ability to move ahead. I also believe in farming into the future and I am in a position to provide a free and confidential Service to farmers to assist them to plan for, adapt to and cope with ongoing change thereby enabling them to pass productive and prosperous farms to future generations. The world’s population continues to grow and needs food and clothing; our farmers have the skill, know-how and desire to provide it”

Kevin has strong links to the rural sector.  He was born and raised on a farm at Weethalle, then attended Yanco Agricultural High School before going on to study veterinary science at university.  After working as a vet for three years both here and overseas, he returned to the family farm – a dry area, mixed cereals / grazing property, eventually buying and running it.

He has faced the challenges of drought, fluctuating commodity prices and succession planning.  Most recently he has worked as a vet in the Griffith area for the past four years and maintains a strong involvement with the local community and commitment to family.  He is ready to provide assistance to the Griffith-Leeton district.
